Wish I knew about this website before alzheimer kicked in!
Anyhow, I am one of those proud pioneer students who graduated in the 2nd graduation class - 1982. Big up my class mates from HE42.
What was most impressive back then about Dunoon being a new school was the number of competitions we partook of from the get go. I remember going to the stadium pool to cheer on our swim team - the other corporate area high school "stoosh" kids were puzzled by our strong presence - when they announced "Dunoon" , they would yell "Dun whoo?" Big up my class mate Murphy for representing.
Being a new school we never lacked anything - top quality facilities, the best teachers, and maybe the best ingredient - mature students (a great number of us were given second chances to complete a high school education, verse a limited secondary school education).
I would not trade my high school experience at Dunoon with any other high school in Kingston or for that matter -the world.
